The Wolf Cross pendant dates back to the Viking Age of the 10^th century. There are several theories about the meaning of the cross due to the similarities of a Christian cross. It is sometimes thought to symbolize a time when the Vikings were converting to Christianity yet weren’t yet willing to give up their Gods. The Wolf Cross also is thought to be a place to mount a sunstone to aid in navigating on cloudy days. The Wolf Cross represents protection, redemption and hope.
