Our standard is that you will love your handmade charcuterie/cutting board. It is crafted to last for generations. It is made of all solid wood with no stabilizing filler such as plywood or particle board. No two charcuterie boards are ever alike. Knots, cracks and dents are incorporated into the design, not covered up.
Please note that solid wood can move when moisture and temperature change, and as a result cracks may appear over time. This is nature's amazing forces on display and will just add beauty and character to the board.
There will inevitably be cutting marks on your board. Don't try to fix them. They will all have a story worth remembering, but if you choose to, just remove the marks with sandpaper, and then wipe with non-rancid food grade oil.
Future generations will be using your charcuterie board. They will tell tales about you and how you were a trail blazer. How you took chances here in life - some worked, and some didn't, but regardless they will admire your courage.
Your charcuterie board will be used to serve all kinds of hams, salamis, cheeses, homemade jams and breads, and of course butter.
